How to Turn Off Signup Options (Questions-Only Form)
Hide the Signup Options section so your form collects names, emails and your own questions without asking people to pick a slot or option. Your options are kept and come back when you turn the section on again.
Collect Answers Without Anyone Picking an Option
Every form starts with a Signup Options section, the list of slots, times or items people choose from. Some forms don't need one: an interest survey, an RSVP with a few questions, a volunteer info sheet. You can hide the whole section so respondents just fill in their details and your additional questions.
Step 1: Open the form editor
From your Dashboard, click Edit on the form's card.
Step 2: Hide the Signup Options section
Scroll to the Signup Options card. In its top right corner, next to the help icon, click the Hide button.
The options list collapses and a yellow note appears: Signup options are disabled, respondents won't see this section. The button now reads Show.
Step 3: Add the questions you want answered
Click Add Question (or the + button above the Signup Options card) to add up to 10 questions. See adding additional questions for more.
Step 4: Save
Click Save Form at the bottom of the editor.
Turning it back on
Click Show on the Signup Options card, or the Re-enable link in the yellow note, then save. Your options were never deleted, so they come back exactly as they were.
What Changes When Signup Options Are Off
- Respondents see the name and email fields, your questions, and the submit button. There is nothing to choose.
- No response limit. Option limits don't apply, so the form accepts any number of responses. To stop responses, close the form or set a submission deadline.
- Require comments is switched off, since comments belong to a selected option. Use an additional question to collect notes instead.
- On your responses page, each response shows No Selection Required in the option column, with the answers to your questions alongside.
