How to Show "Available: 1" When Only One Spot Is Left

Options with one spot left show no available count by default. Turn on Show "Available: 1" Count to display it, useful for forms where every option has a single slot.

Why "Available: 1" Is Hidden by Default

When an option has a response limit, your form shows how many spots are left next to it, for example (Available: 3). When only one spot remains, the count is hidden by default and the option shows no count at all. If every option on your form has just one slot (one volunteer per time, one item per person), that means respondents never see a count. You can turn the count back on so those options show (Available: 1).

Step 1: Open your form's Options page

Go to the Dashboard, find your form, and click the Options button on the form's card.

Step 2: Find the Form Settings card

Scroll down to the Form Settings card and look for the Respondent Experience subsection.

Step 3: Turn on Show "Available: 1" Count

Find the Show "Available: 1" Count toggle (just below Hide Available Response Counts) and switch it on. The change saves automatically.

What Changes

  • Options with one spot left now show (Available: 1), the same way options with more spots show their count.
  • This applies to your regular form page and to embedded forms.
  • If Hide Available Response Counts is on, or an option is set to Hide count, no count is shown, and this toggle has no effect.
  • Options set to Show as needed already show "(1 needed)" when one spot is left, with or without this toggle.
  • Response limits work exactly the same either way: this only changes what respondents see.
