Love in Bloom

Love in Bloom

Saturday, June 13, at 10:00 am

in Fellowship Hall

As part of our CommUNITY in Action initiative and as requested by local assisted living communities, volunteers will create and distribute 200 floral arrangements.

Each arrangement will fit in a 10-20 oz repurposed drinking glass. Volunteers will select to create arrangements with real or artificial flowers to lovingly create one-of-a-kind arrangements that will brighten resident rooms and spirits.

How to participate:

  1. Donate real flowers: Provide flowers/greenery from your garden, store-bought bouquets (which will be dismantled and repurposed into new arrangements), or store-bought bunches such as baby’s breath, tulips, greenery, etc. Donations of real flowers can be dropped off at the church on Friday, June 12 or on Saturday, June 13 (by 9:45 am, if possible)
  2. Provide artifical flowers/greenery: Bunches and indiviudal stems are welcome. Donations of artifical flowers can be dropped off at the church now through Friday, June 12.
  3. Process flower donations on Friday, June 12: Trim and sort floral and greenery stems
  4. Provide tools and supplies: We need 1-3 gallon containers, pruning tools, and clear, flat glass beads. Please label tools and buckets with your name, and drop off at the church now through Friday, June 12.
  5. Fund love: If you would like to make a monetary donation toward supplies for this project, please click here.
