Pastor Appreciation Life Group Signup
October is Pastor Appreciation Month and we want to make sure our pastors know how much they are loved & appreciated. While you are always welcome to send your own gifts and cards or notes of encouragement, this year we are organizing 2 specific ways that we can bless our pastors collectively as a church. We'd love for you to be a part of it! Please read below and choose a week for your Life Group to sign up. For questions, please contact Ruth Hoehler.
Gifts for Pastor Kevin & Becky
We'd love to bless Pastor Kevin and Becky with some fun and thoughtful gifts throughout the whole month! Each week of the month has been given a theme & we would love for Life Groups to sign up for a week (multiple groups can sign up for one week), then bless them with gifts or gift cards relating to that theme. You can coordinate with the other Life Groups who signed up for that week, OR simply coordinate within your own Life Group! Examples of gifts and gift cards for each theme are listed below.
Gifts/Gift cards can be arranged in a cute basket, or simply put in an envelope or bag. However your group wants to do it! And of course, please feel free to include any personal cards or notes of encouragement in with your gift! Please plan to bring your gift to the church on the Friday of the week you signed up, during office hours (9am-4pm).
Gifts for Pastor Carroll & Pastor Phil
We also want to bless Pastor Carroll & Debbie, as well as Pastor Phil & Lori! Please consider donating whatever amount you feel led to give to a fund that we will use to purchase gift cards for them for either restaurants or date nights. **Ideas for Themed Gifts for Life Groups**
Week 1: Restaurant Gift Cards (Deliver gift on October 9)
You could go in together with your Life Group and purchase one larger gift card, or you could purchase several smaller gift cards. Some of their favorite restaurants are Tacos N Madres, Crestwood Taqueria, JJ Grill, & Stoney River. They love sushi, Asian fusion, steak, tacos, and Mediterranean food. They also love supporting local restaurants!
Week 2: Everyday Life Gifts/Gift Cards (Deliver gift on October 16)
This could be a wide variety of things! These would be gifts or gift cards that they would use for everyday life or for fun date nights/family outings around town. Examples could be gift cards to Costco, Kroger, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Top Golf, movie theaters, Spas/Massages, Nail salons, Walmart, Target, etc.
Week 3: Fill their Fridge/Freezer (Deliver gift on October 23)
For this one, you can simply buy or make food that you think they would enjoy! Pantry items or baked goods could be included here also. Freezer meals will obviously last longer, so consider including those. If you have people in your Life Group who love to cook, freezer meals could be your entire contribution! *They do not have any dietary restrictions.*
Week 4: Travel/Getaway Gift Cards (Deliver gift on October 30)
This can include gas gift cards, Airbnb gift cards, as well as any other gift cards or things they might enjoy using on a road trip or weekend getaway. Feel free to get creative!
