Grand Beginnings Fundraiser

Grand Beginnings ("GB") is Saturday, April, 24, 2027.  GB is a fun night to build our community while raising money for our school. It’s a night to meet new people and socialize with your friends. There will be a sit down dinner, a short program, and a live and silent auction as well as games to play. See each job description for estimated volunteer hours.

Live Auction Coordinator-Time 5-10 hour commitment. Begin working in January - April. Work with GB chairs to help coordinate solicitation and promotion of live auction items. A wish list of desired items, trips, and experiences will be shared, along with contact information.

Silent Auction Team Main Contact - Begin work in January through April. 40-60 hour commitment. Choose your own schedule, must have availability to come into school-This volunteer will coordinate solicitation of auction donations, pickup and management of items as they arrive at the school office, and preparation of items for the silent auction at GB. We will provide a spreadsheet of business contacts.

On your own schedule (evenings, from home)-Volunteers will work with the Silent Auction Main Contact to solicit auction items via email, mail, or phone calls. A spreadsheet of previous and potential donors and their contact information will be divided among volunteers for solicitation purposes.

Class Basket Coordinator-Coordinator works with a volunteer from each grade level to create themed baskets donated by each class. Approx. 8 hours of volunteer time.

Silent Auction Drivers and Setup - April 24, 2027; 5 hour commitment. Day of the event from approximately 9am- 2pm-Transport silent auction items from school to the event venue the morning of the event and then help set-up the auction items. Must be available the day of the event from 9am-2pm.

Table Centerpiece/Decor Coordinator. Begin work in March. 10-15 hour commitment. Must be available the morning of the event to deliver centerpieces.-This volunteer will work with the GB committee to determine the event centerpieces, including the creative vision, assembly, and set-up of the items at the event venue.

Silent Auction Check Out Volunteers - Attend event with complimentary tickets to work distributing silent auction baskets to winners. Must be able to attend the event on April 24th from 5 pm to 10:30 pm

Games – Saturday, April 24th, 2027. Two shifts: 5:00 - 6:00; 6:00 - 7:00-Volunteers will answer questions, encourage participation, and sell chances to games that will take place later in the evening. Two one-hour shifts are available, each needing 4 volunteers who will sell tickets at a table or while roaming the crowd
