Why You're Still Hitting the Paywall After Upgrading

If you upgraded to Premium but are still being blocked from viewing responses, the most likely cause is that your upgrade is attached to a different email address than the one that created the form. Grasshopper Signup ties Premium access to a specific account, so if the form belongs to a different email (even one that's yours) the paywall won't lift until the two accounts are linked.

Common scenarios

  • You created the form with one email and upgraded using a different one (e.g. a personal address vs. a work address).
  • A colleague or co-organizer originally created the form and you are managing it on their behalf. The form is tied to their account, not yours.
  • You created a new account to upgrade, not realizing your original forms were under a different login.

How to Fix It Yourself: Share Your Premium with the Form Owner

You can usually fix this on the spot, right from the paywall page.

Step 1: Log in with the email you upgraded with

Make sure you're signed in to the account that has Premium.

Step 2: Open the form's responses page

Go to the responses page you were blocked from. You'll see the upgrade prompt.

Step 3: Click Share my premium with them

At the top of the upgrade prompt, look for the box that says You have premium. [form owner's email] doesn't. Click Share my premium with them. This links the form owner's account to your Premium: the paywall lifts immediately for this form and all of the owner's forms, and both accounts keep full access.

Each Premium account can share premium this way with up to 2 other people.

If You Don't See the Share Option

The share box only appears when you're logged in with a Premium account and the form's owner doesn't already have Premium. If it isn't there (or you've already shared premium with 2 people), we can link the accounts for you:

Step 1: Find your form link

Copy the URL of the form you are trying to access. It will look like grasshoppersignup.com/form/... or grasshoppersignup.com/s/.... You can find it in the address bar when viewing the form, or in the Share this link with respondents field on the form's card in your Dashboard.

Step 2: Contact us

Go to the Contact page and send us a message with:

  • The link to your form
  • The email address you upgraded with

We'll connect your Premium account to the original creator account so you can view all responses.
