SCHEDULE A NEW MESSAGE

Step 1: Open the compose modal

Go to your Messaging & Contacts page and click Send New Message at the top right. You can also reach the same modal from the Send Email button on a form's success page or from the message history.

Step 2: Pick recipients, subject, and body

Step through the modal as you normally would: select contact tags or individual contacts, enter a subject, and compose your message body. The message can include the {form_link}, {name}, and {first_name} merge tags.

Step 3: Turn on Schedule for later

On the final step (the Send to All Recipients card), check the Schedule for later checkbox. A datetime picker appears below it, defaulted to two hours from now.

Step 4: Pick your send time

Choose any time at least 1 hour from now and at most 3 months out. The time you pick is in your local timezone. The send button label changes from Send Email Now to Schedule Send.

Step 5: Click Schedule Send

The button confirms with Scheduled! and the modal closes. You'll see the pending message at the top of your message history with a Scheduled badge. When the message fires, you'll get a confirmation email letting you know it sent.

EDIT OR CANCEL A SCHEDULED MESSAGE

Step 1: Find the pending message

On your Message History page, scheduled messages are pinned to the top of the list with a Scheduled badge and the planned send time underneath the subject.

Step 2: Click Edit or Cancel

Each pending row shows two buttons:

  • Edit — reopens the compose modal pre-filled with the original subject, body, recipients, and send time. Adjust anything you need, then click Save Changes. The new send time still has to be at least 1 hour from now.
  • Cancel — confirms once, then permanently cancels the scheduled send.

Step 3: Heads up: editing right at send time

If the message is already firing (within seconds of its scheduled time), Edit and Cancel will return an error. The fail-safe is intentional: once a message is in flight to your contacts, it can't be pulled back. In practice this only happens if you click within a few seconds of the scheduled send.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Recipients are snapshotted when you schedule. If you add or remove people from a tag after scheduling, the scheduled send still uses the contact list as it was when you hit Schedule. Use Edit if you need to refresh the recipient list.
  • One message body per scheduled send. The same subject and body go to everyone in the snapshot, with the merge tags personalized per recipient.
  • Email only. Scheduling is currently email-only. Immediate sends with SMS still work as before.
  • Free users: the Schedule for later checkbox is hidden and replaced by an upgrade link. Upgrade to Boost to unlock scheduling.
  • You'll know when it sends. A confirmation email goes to your account email after a scheduled message fires, with the recipient count and any delivery failures.
