How to Stop People From Deleting or Changing Their Signup
Turn on Lock Responses so respondents can no longer edit or delete their signup after they submit. You can still change or remove responses yourself.
By default, people can edit or delete their own signup from their confirmation email or the thank-you page. If you need signups to stay put (for example, shifts you have already scheduled around), turn on Lock Responses.
Step 1: Open your form's Options page
Go to your Dashboard and click Options on the form's card.
Step 2: Find Creator Preferences
Scroll to the Form Settings card. Inside it, find the subsection labeled CREATOR PREFERENCES (small uppercase gray text).
Step 3: Turn on Lock Responses
Switch on Lock Responses ("Prevent respondents from editing or deleting their responses"). It saves right away.
What changes
- Respondents can no longer edit or delete their signup. The edit and delete buttons disappear from the thank-you page and their submission page, and they see "Responses are locked" with your email so they can ask you for a change.
- Confirmation emails leave out the edit and delete links.
- You can still edit or delete any response from your Responses page, so you can make changes on someone's behalf.
- It applies to everyone, including people who signed up before you turned it on. Turn it off any time to allow changes again.
