Bloom Crew!

Hooray! "HOT WEDNESDAYS" are open for signup -- The flowers are really thirsty in the heat, so we're opening up Wednesday shifts through August.

What:

Fill the bottom water reservoirs of baskets and planters. They're all well designed to self-wick water up from the reservoirs. No top watering needed.

Where:

Eight big baskets on street light poles along 2nd St./Hwy 14 (north side, from Main Street Convenience Store to River House Art Gallery)

AND

Three standing planters & two hanging baskets in the The Streatery (in front of courthouse lawn)

These vibrant floral displays add color and energy to our community—and they wouldn’t flourish without the dedication of our Bloom Crew volunteers. Thank you!

I wish to participate in a Stevenson Downtown Association (SDA) event as a volunteer or a vendor, and to engage in related activities. I understand that these activities may include but are not limited to farmers markets, beautification crews, and special events. I also understand that I will not receive any compensation or remuneration for the services I provide to SDA in any capacity and I will not be eligible for any employee benefits. I acknowledge that I am not an employee. If I’m expecting to use these volunteer hours towards required community service, I agree to discuss this with the work leader before signing up. ***ASSUMPTION OF RISK & RELEASE OF LIABILITY*** By signing up to participate, I expressly assume all risks associated with my voluntary participation, including without limit, accident, injury, bodily harm or death, and agree to take responsible precautions to avoid injury to myself and others. For myself and my heirs, representatives and assigns, I hereby release, waive, discharge and hold harmless agree to hold harmless the Stevenson Farmers Market, the Stevenson Downtown Association, the Port of Skamania, and the City of Stevenson, their agents, and other participants from any claims made by any person or organization related to food quality, compliance with laws and regulations, public safety, public health, or any other matter. Protection related to product liability is the sole responsibility of each vendor. ***MEDICAL TREATMENT AUTHORIZATION*** I agree to inform the team leader of any health conditions or medications that could be relevant in the event of an emergency. If I suffer illness or injury requiring treatment or other medical services while participating, I give my permission for any medical treatment, medical transportation or evacuation deemed necessary and reasonable under the circumstances and agree that SDA and its agents will not be liable nor financially responsible for medical treatment, medical transportation or evacuation. ***PHOTO RELEASE*** I grant SDA permission to take and use any photographs, videos or any other media associated with these activities which contains my image or likeness, for SDA’s purposes, including without limit, news coverage and promotion purposes, including print, broadcast, web and mobile. I hereby grant and convey to SDA all right, title and interest, including but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits, in any and all such photographs or recordings. This release shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington. By checking this box during sign-up, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this waiver and release, I agree to its terms and conditions, and that I am at least 18 years of age. (For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must check the box indicating agreement.)
