Volunteer Sign-Up Instructions


You may view the volunteer opportunities as a "list" or as a "calendar" view, then select any of the highlighted date(s) during your visit.


  1. Choose one or more dates – Select any highlighted date(s) you would like to volunteer. Most tasks are listed in chronological order. Similar job options are grouped by type, then by time.
  2. Location - Most tasks are located at the WHITE RIVER CHRISTIAN CHURCH, Noblesville, unless otherwise noted in the description.
  3. Off-Site Task - One or more tasks may be listed as off-site; follow instructions in the description.
  4. Select multiple tasks – You may choose more than one volunteer task for your selected date(s).
  5. Avoid scheduling conflicts – The system automatically checks for overlapping times. Any conflicting options/times will be grayed out and unavailable.
  6. Use an active, unique email address – Please confirm that you entered your email address correctly. Your correct email is required to receive confirmation and reminder emails.
  7. Add volunteers to your team – If there are open volunteer spots, you may add more volunteers to your main sign-up, but never exceed the maximum slots. Each new volunteer reduces the spots available for others. Only sign up volunteers you are sure can participate.

    Accept dessert donations, prep and sort dessert servings, etc.

    Preparing food and pre-prepping vegetables for warmers, selecting food for clamshell plates/holders, assisting with dessert cutting, wrapping, etc.

    Pull food items and plate them for Christmas Eve line distribution, including storing them in the on-site freezer. Complete additional kitchen prep for the final Thanksgiving Day meal.

    Greeting, directing, and communicating with delivery drivers by providing contact card assignments before selecting the needed number of meals.

    Support in packaging meals/food for delivery by drivers.

    Assist in transporting food/items to Sheridan Community Center as directed. Report to White River Christian Church first for instructions.

    Assist as directed in the kitchen (baking, opening cans, cooking, etc.)

    Help with dishwashing throughout the kitchen, utilizing a commercial dishwasher.

    Assist delivery drivers with the proper count of meals needed and additional rolls, desserts, etc.

    Deliver assigned Thanksgiving meals using the provided contact assignment card. Use your own vehicle and GPS for navigation.


    PICK UP ASSIGNMENTS / LOCATION: White River Christian Church, Noblesville, IN.


    For this category: register just ONE person per vehicle per slot. If more than one person is in your vehicle, they are considered your helpers and should not take up available slots as separate volunteers.
