Sacramento Century - Volunteer Sign-Up

The Sacramento Century Challenge is the region’s premier cycling event, with 1,000+ riders annually. Presented by the Rotary Club of Sacramento, the 13th annual Sac Century Challenge will benefit the Sacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery program, which protects kids from child abuse and neglect.


Over 175 volunteer shifts need to be filled to make this ride a success. Thank you for your interest and support!

    Are you a Rotarian, a Children's Home volunteer, or with another group?
    We picked this option for you:

    Spend the whole day driving the beautiful 100 mile route helping riders out! You will be paired with an Amateur Radio Emergency Service volunteer radio operator in their car and will be dispatched to help riders in need of assistance. This is an essential position for the safety of the Sac Century!

    Truck or large SUV required. Spend the whole day driving the beautiful 100 mile route helping riders out!     Serve as parking attendant at the designated event parking garage. Meet at 6:00 am at the parking garage at the corner of 5th and N Streets.

    Serve as parking monitor at the parking garage, directing parkers to spaces on the upper floors. Meet at 6:00 am at the parking garage at the corner of 5th and N Streets.

    Break down and clean up post ride event.

    Help set up and take down of the ride by loading and unloading trucks at the warehourse.

    Assist in setting up the bike valet area

    Assist in parking bikes as riders return from the ride in secure area.

    Sell Sac Century merchandise during the post ride festival. Rotary Club Members preferred for this shift. You will be taking payments.

    Encourage riders to pose at the step and repeat and take photos on their phone.

    Set up and distribute breakfast to riders on Capitol Mall

    Check-in riders on event day.
